Founder Assisteens of Los Angeles is an auxiliary of Assistance League® of Los Angeles, which has been in operation for almost 100 years. Parents and their high-school aged daughters join Assisteens to help disadvantaged children of LA County. Their annual Catwalk for a Cause fashion show, boutique and luncheon on Sunday, March 5th at 11:00 am at Lakeside Golf Club in Burbank will raise money for Prom Day Program, the Foster Children’s Resource Center and the Preschool Learning Center. The over 150 attendees are teen leaders and their parents. The seniors being honored this year are from a diverse group of schools – Archer, Buckley, Campbell Hall, Fusion, Harvard-Westlake, Marlborough, Notre Dame, Redondo Union and Taft. The attendees are stylish, giving and influential in their communities.
The senior girls will walk the runway at a luncheon which raises money for the group to give to worthy programs. There are two opportunities to participate in this portion of our program:
The traditional way is to loan the clothes for several changes which are returned to the store after the event. In return, you'll receive:
Your store or fashion line may also choose to donate items for the fashion show that will then be donated to the Foster Children’s Resource Center. Their teen clients do not have fun or current looks to choose from and any items are welcome. Your company will get all the perks listed above, plus, depending on the value of the donated clothes*, be mentioned in press releases and named on the invitation. For a donation valued between $2,500 to $5,000, you will receive:
Donate a basket of goods or services worth between two and five hundred dollars:
A limited number of vendors will be invited to participate in the boutique, which will run from 11:00 to 12:30 and be open until the close of the event at 3:00. Sell to teens, who will be attending with their mothers who not only also shop, but pay for their daughter’s purchases.
Are you able to donate a small giveaway for approximately 175 guests? Market yourself to a gathering of tastemakers and community-minded women and girls.
